\\BLOXELS\\ Some of you have used Bloxels before and our speeding through this, which is fine, there is a more advanced option listed below. Students still finishing their first game can continue it this week.

  • Students continue or finish first game, and work towards publishing it.
  • Second game to be created with the theme FAMILY, or PIZZA
  • Second game must have:
    • At least 2 characters (one being the player and another character that isn’t an enemy, You could make a ground block have a character art on it)
    • More than 6 enemies with art on them
    • 4 art creations (to be put on ground blocks, enemy blocks, water, and other blocks)
    • A background made by you
    • A finish line, and a check point 
    • 25 collectable coins
  • If you’re speeeeeedinthrough these games, here’s a game I would like to see you try!
    • The theme is FORGIVENESS, or BALLOONS
    • At least 3 characters (one being the player and the others not as enemies, You could make a ground block have character art on it)
    • More than 12 enemies 
    • 8 art creations (to be put on ground blocks, enemy blocks, water, and other blocks)
    • A Background made by you
    • A finish line, and two check points
    • 40 collectable coins
    • AND you must have a whole section where the player is climbing up in your game, and a whole section where the player must descend down in the game, the order of the two does not matter.

\\BLOXELS\\ highly requested Bloxels will start this week.

Unfortunately, we won’t be using the physical sets at GeekForest, we will look into seeing if a way is possible.
BLOXELS.edu is a program for designing games using colored blocks that represent different environmental elements in the game world.

  • Students will be introduced to Bloxels edu through Arcade games, to get the feel of what can be made
  • Students will create their first game with the theme of ADVENTURE
  • First game must have:
    • 1 character
    • more than 2 enemies 
    • 2 art creations (to be put on ground blocks, enemy blocks, water, and other blocks)
    • A background made by you
    • A finish line
    • 10 collectable coins
